Testimonials

I recently spent a week with Benjamin in Tokyo and could not recommend his expertise and services as an interpreter more. If you’re looking for someone who can navigate the cultural and language nuances of Japan, while also making sure you understand the larger cultural / business context, you should talk with Benjamin. He works in a relatively informal yet professional style which was a perfect fit for me. He also has a strong passion for creative / maker communities that shined through in all of our conversations.
— Sean Leow CEO, Kickstarter
Makers Boot Camp had the pleasure to meet Ben during Kickstarter’s trip to Kyoto. He was in charge of supporting the NYC-based team we hosted. His mission was easily achieved, making sure all language and cultural gaps were understood during our visit. He excels not only in technical knowledge, but also in a clever, focused and results oriented cultural goals. A hard task when it comes to Japanese/ English interpretation. A highly skilled professional with a clear sensitive human approach, willing not only to translate context, but also to quickly understand diverse environments and smoothly move between informal or formal settings as requested, from startup members to industry C-level stakeholders.
— Sabrina Sasaki Makers Bootcamp, Marketing Manager
I was extremely lucky to have Benjamin in our team. He provided great Japanese-English localization and always came up with creative ideas, no doubt due to his extensive knowledge and passion for Japanese entertainment, especially with Anime. You could tell that he has a deep love for working on content, which made it easy for me to trust him and ask for help when my team needed it.
— Yuka Ogasawara Language Manager, Netflix
This book (日本のことは、マンガとゲームで学びました) is absolutely amazing. As another foreigner living here I could totally identify with the so much of the content, laughing out loud every other page. Chika Aoyagis beautifully simplistic illustrations make the manga easy to follow while still managing to captures the characteristics of the characters perfectly.
Very much recommend this book!
